WFCO Seeks Social Ventures to Apply for Funding

The Women’s Foundation of Colorado in partnership with Impact Finance Center announces a call for Colorado women social ventures. Our commitment to helping Colorado women earn a livable wage is expanding to include helping women entrepreneurs access capital.

This fall, 37 women formed the Women’s Impact Investing Giving Circle (WIIGC) at WFCO, the first of its kind at a community foundation. The members of the giving circle will select and invest in social ventures benefiting women in Colorado.

Do You Fit the Bill?

Are you a mission-aligned social venture, i.e., project, nonprofit, small business, startup, cooperative, hybrid-tandem organization, or fund? If yes, we invite you to complete the phase 1 social venture application by February 7, 2020.

Geographic Focus: Colorado (incorporated in CO; may operate in other markets)
Amount per investment: $15,000-$50,000
Number of Investments: Likely 2-4
Type of Investment: Debt, equity, or hybrid instruments (e.g. revenue-based financing).
Total Amount of Investment Available: Approximately $90,000

WFCO is expanding our support for women across the state through new funding opportunities for women’s social ventures. Does your non-profit have a social venture looking for funding? Do you serve women entrepreneurs in the community who struggle to access capital? If so, learn more by joining us for one of our free workshops.

To learn more about the opportunity, WFCO and Impact Finance Center invite you to attend a pre-application workshop on the following dates. RSVP by clicking on a date below.
