This Pride Month, Showing Up for the LGBTQ+ Community Matters More Than Ever

During Pride Month, Here’s How You Can Show Up With and For the LGBTQ+ Community

From all of us at The Women’s Foundation of Colorado, happy Pride Month! As we attend the joyful community gatherings happening across the state, we remember that Pride is much more than a celebration. It is an act of resistance, resilience, and a bold declaration of the ongoing fight for LGBTQ+ equality and a future where Coloradans of every background and identity thrive.

As support continues to diminish for the LGBTQ+ community (sponsorships for Denver Pride are down 62% this year compared to last, and the Trump administration proposed eliminating funding for the LGBTQ+ youth suicide prevention hotline), it’s important that we show up for the community now more than ever.

Here’s a list of events happening across Colorado during Pride Month. Let’s use joy and resilience as acts of resistance and uplift Colorado’s LGBTQ+ community members through celebration.
